About tiktoktranscripts.com

tiktoktranscripts.com is a single-purpose tool: paste the link to a public TikTok, get the spoken words back as clean text. No account, no limit on exports, no paid tier hiding behind the free one.

Who is behind it

The site is built and run by TranscriptFetch, a small company that makes a transcript API used by developers, researchers and marketing teams to pull text from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram and podcast audio. This tool is the same engine with a plain web page in front of it. We run it free because a lot of people need one transcript, not an API key, and because a working free tool is the best advertisement we have for the product that pays for it.

How it works

When you paste a link, we fetch the video, pull out the audio, and run it through automatic speech recognition. Where TikTok already carries a caption track for the video we use that, because it is faster and cheaper. The raw result is then punctuated and split into sentences so it reads as prose. Timings, where the video has them, let you export a subtitle file. The whole thing usually takes a few seconds; long videos take longer.

We deliberately do not keep what you transcribe. Results are cached briefly so a popular video is not transcribed over and over, and then they expire. The details are in the privacy policy.

What it is not

It is not a TikTok product and it is not affiliated with TikTok or ByteDance. It does not download videos, it does not bypass privacy settings (private videos cannot be transcribed), and it is not meant for bulk collection. If you need transcripts at volume or from your own code, that is what the TranscriptFetch API is for.

Contact

Email is the fastest way to reach us: [email protected]. We read everything and usually answer within one working day. Use the same address for privacy requests, copyright concerns, and reports of a video that would not transcribe: include the link and what you saw, and we can usually tell you why.
